2.Microarray Visualization Updated

In previous version of PMRD, microarray visualization tool for Arabidopsis only had two transcriptome datasets. We searched GEO again and added four relevant datasets into our system.

They are:

GSE12316

Genes dominantly expressed in germinating pollen

GSE17343

Expression data from Arabidopsis pollen and semi in vivo- and in vitro-grown pollen tubes.

GSE20224

Gametophytic transcription factors

GSE19267

Analysis of anther development by identifying downstream genes controlled by MS35/MYB26

Also we added color bars to highlight datasets in the same theme.


3. WebPages Speeding Up

To speed up web page access, we did the following improvement:

1. Compressed the pictures and JavaScript files;

2. Remove unnecessary plug-ins and modules;

3. Simplified homepage (59% reduction in total web traffic; YSlow Score increased from 72 to 82

4. Gene Symbols Showed

Gene symbols are now showed in the “browse gene” pages.
